Rose, Karen Rose.
A rose is a rose, is a letter in this case. This font is
created from historical handpainted textile designs. Flowers and
leaves are not meant to communicate anything other than their own
beauty. Here they deserve a decorative function, and can lend an
organic look to a page design. Thin line between abstraction and
depiction is fascinating. When does a form refer to an object or
idea? Having loved abstract pattern painting, I always stayed away
from pictorial representaion. These flower shapes are an interesting
departure from my rule.
