Spaces. I think this is a great image
to finish with. Its a rather old sign located on the top of the Lincoln
Co-op store, where I often park my car. As you can see, the barrier
to which it refers is no longer there. I was disappointed I was unable
to get a photograph of its former lives. The barrier started off as
a normal size and got shorter and shorter until eventually it was
only a foot long and had the white letters S T O P on a red background
which hung from it. It gradually became a shadow of its former self
until, as can be seen here, it has “given up the ghost”
and no longer exists.
