DAVID             PETERS is a design strategist with EXBROOK,             a communication company he founded in 1999 to focus on the creative             process and how design can be applied in business to produce meaningful             results.              He brings experience in producing complex conceptual, visual and editorial             design projects in which trust has played a prominent role. These             have included technology-intensive initiatives for financial services             companies like Barclays Bank, T. Rowe Price, and Citibank, as well             as knowledge-based groups like brittanica.com and The Ocean Conservancy.                          Projects he has led have earned numerous awards for innovation, including             Gold from the ONE Show in New York, and Bronze from Business Week/IDSA.                          As founder and director of             DESIGN FILMS, he has curated programs and produced events about             design at  |             |            museums, film festivals,             conferences, and schools around the world. His study of the modern             history of film titles debuted at the Film Society of Lincoln Centerin             New York City, and has toured internationally. David's pioneering             work in media history was recognized with a major design grant from             the National Endowment for the Arts in 1993.                           David has taught in the graduate program in graphic design at Yale             University, as well at the Rhode Island School of Design, and the             Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. He has lectured at the Smithsonian             Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, as well as dozens of other institutions             and creative industry associations. Born in Canada, and a resident             of San Francisco since 1996, he is married to the art director Rhonda             Rubinstein, and father to a two-year old son, Dash. |
